Bealadangan, Connemara, Co.Galway

Bealadangan is a lovely coastal village at the entrance to "Ceantar Na nOileán" Here the islands of Lettermore and Lettermullen are connected by bridge to the mainland. Set in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht, the region is renowned for its rugged beauty and history. The house itself has a long connection with the area.

It was originally constructed in the early 1900's to house a "Lady Dudley" nurse to provide nursing and medical assistance to the local population. Over the years the building has been extended and modernised, but the high elegant ceilings and other original features give it a pleasing sense of character and charm. Outside the mature grounds enjoy extensive shore frontage with stunning sea views from many vantage points.

A picturesqe stone built pier abuts the grounds, ideal for boating enthusiasts. Nearby is the unique island nine hole golf links at Connemara Isles. There are two pubs and a supermarket just a short stroll away.

The larger town of Carraroe is a ten minute drive with Galway city a further 45 minutes. The house currently accommodates four bedrooms,sittingroom, livingroom, kitchen/dining area, sunroom, laundry room and bathroom. An attached garage could easily be incorporated into the house following the recent construction of a detached garage.

The grounds are enclosed by mature shrubbery and trees with double gated entrance. Pretty grass pathways have been created leading to the shore. This is a unique and character filled property in a truly stunning setting surrounded in natural beauty.
